BASE SALARY: $40,000.00

Minimum Requirements

Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences (Entomology, Plant Pathology, Ecology) or related field is required. Applicants must have:

1. Knowledge of the principles, techniques and procedures related to invasive species (arthropods, pathogens).

2. Ability in molecular biological methods to study host parasite interactions.

3. Computer skills (including database).

4. Ability to design, plan, accomplish and publish research in peer-reviewed journals.

5. Ability to work independently and contribute in an academic enviroment.

6. Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish (speaking, writing, reading) are desirable.

Duties

Study molecular and biological diversity of invasive mite vector species and viruses.
