2008 Annual Meeting

Reno, NV, November 16

The 2008 Annual Meeting is nearly upon us! Ok, not really, but due to rules in place by the Entomological Society of America, we need to submit our symposium information by March 6. I know, this seems a bit early and silly considering the technology present, but I don't make the rules... Yet! I am organizing the annual morning session "Advances in Acarology" that will consist of numerous 12-15 minute talks depending on the total number of talks submitted. These presentations can cover any topic related to Acarology and I am hoping for a variety of subjects and even a larger turnout of students this year. For students submitting presentations, please also be aware of the ASA Travel Award and ASA Student Presentation Award. All students will be entered into the Student Presentation Award unless you vehemently object, but for the Travel Award you must follow the information listed and submit materials by the deadline. For non-students, there is no award for presentations, sorry, but you will be forever immortalized in the ESA Meeting Program.

In order to submit a presentation for the "Advances in Acarology" session please email Dr. Ashley Dowling with your proposed title and all relevant contact information by February 29. There will be an opportunity later in the year to modify your title if your topic changes a little.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me by email (adowling@uark.edu) or phone (479-575-2482).

Looking forward to a lot of great submissions!

Ashley
